Ellen Hoverkamp is a woman with a myriad of talents, batik artist, printmaker, and painter of large abstracts. She is also exceptional as she is a full left brain right brain kind of person. It is rare for an artist to capture technology, and use it so successfully. She has created an alchemy, juxtaposing the natural world and technological wizardry. Ellen has captured the ephemeral qualities of plant materials wabi-sabi in highly nuanced photographic arrangements of flowers and other natural found objects. We are featuring a group of Ellen’s work that has informed our Foraging theme for fall. We have fallen madly deeply in love with Ellen’s oeuvre and hope that you will be captivated as well.
