“The obvious is never obvious,” says Belgian designer Michael Verheyden, whose studio guides every piece from concept to craft. He elevates everyday objects - lamps, trays, vessels - using noble materials like suede, stone, metal, and fine woods. Minimal lines and quiet, tactile finishes give his work a sacred, timeless presence. Trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent, he founded his studio in 2002 after early work in industrial design. His pieces appear in leading museums, luxury hotels, and private residences, with collaborations spanning Dior, Philippe Starck, and Aston Martin.
