Description:

COUPE, ASH is hand turned and made of European ash sourced from the Northern region of France. The wood used is taken from as close to the heart of the tree as possible. The plank is cut into round blanks and then turrned on a lathe. The Coupe is finished in usinig Yakisugi or Shou-Sugi-Ban -- an old Japanese technique of burning wood to protect it from moisture and pests. Using a torch, the ash coupe is charred and then cleaned with steel wool. Finally, it is oiled, giving it a dark lustre. Made in France.
