Jules Desdoigts aims to transform the way we perceive these fragments of history. By subtly detaching them from their original function and pairing them with contemporary materials and uses, he creates a link between past and present. He elevates them in a new way. The object becomes mobile and unique. It travels through styles and
metamorphoses. It offers a fresh interpretation, unexpected and rich in contrasts.

Three organically shaped trays in black lacquer make up this exclusive piece. A thin, embossed gold plate is visible beneath the first tray, which opens with a simple gesture, revealing a hidden scene of intricate details. It is a pleasing to the eye as it is to the touch, whether exposed or concealed.
