Originally conceived as an alternative to an overhead dining chandelier, we have here an emotive, gestural statement piece that creates an intimate space around the center of the table. With an adjustable arm, the height of the shade can be adjusted simply by moving the round counterweight along the arm. The lamp's large perforated reflector shade and handblown glass globe (by John Hogan) create a soft glow and gentle shadows which create a micro-environment around the lamp.
